About the Artist
Ellen Ridenour is a long-time Elkhart Art League member, artist and Board Member. Ellen received her formal art education through Indiana University South Bend. She has received numerous awards for her artwork. The first time she entered her work in the Hoosier Salon (one of the state’s largest and oldest art exhibition,) her piece was selected for the Indiana State museum for their permanent collection, and has since received two purchase awards two years in a row. She also has received numerous awards from the Midwest Museum of American Art and other juried exhibitions. Her work is featured in several local galleries, including n. wirt design & gallery and Arts on Main in downtown Elkhart. Ellen has a printmaking studio located in the Old Bag Factory in Goshen, Indiana and teaches classes with the Elkhart Art League.
