Bookbinding: 1-Hole, Japanese Stab Bound Botanical Art Journal Workshop Registration Open Now!
Workshop will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 5 pm – 8 pm.
Teacher: Karen Nelson of Nelson’s Herbs in Edwardsburg Michigan
Two Hour Workshop is for adults or oldetr teens, not experience needed.
Cost: $45 for Members and Non-Members. Supplies and Tool: INCLUDED. A beginning Bookbinding kit will be available for purchase from the instructor.
Location: Elkhart Art League Studio, 131 Tyler St. #1-B, Elkhart IN 46516, the train depot west door.
This workshop is designed for beginners to bookbinding and making Junk Journals. We will be making a 4.5″ by 6″ four-hole Stab Bound Journal with a botanical accent. 48 pages of good quality drawing/mixed media paper.
In this workshop, you will learn terminology, a binding technique, prepping techniques, and more. You will go home with a small Japanese Stab Bound journal made by your own hand, a supplies list, and a resource list.
